1 Why is egyptian massage different from any other?
Egyptian massage is a deep-tissue massage which works with the lymphatic system to release toxins and regenerate new cells which will give you relaxation for a long period of time.
2. Is egyptian massage painful?
Egyptian massage doesn't hurt however as it is a deep-tissue massage pressure is used and if at any time you feel uncomfortable please inform your masseuse.
3.What Do I wear during my massage?
When having a massage you are asked to remove any jewellery or watches and all of your overgarments except from your underwear. You will be covered with a towel also during the massage. It may be a good idea for women with long hair to tie it up before your massage as oil can sometimes get in long hair.
4. Am I asked any confidential information on my visit?
Before your massage you will have a short consultation whereby you will be asked things such as your name, height, weight, the type of lifestyle you lead and any medical or skin problems you may have. You are free to answer the questions you wish to and leave blank any you do not wish to answer. This information is so we are aware of any details which may affect or be helped by the massage and to get a general picture of the client and ways in which they can be helped.
5. What if i have sensitive skin or an allergy to the contents of the oil?
As well as our range of oils we also have creams for sensitive skin and a muscle sooting gel which can be used for particularly aching or painful muscles.
6. What if i have a type of cancer?
Please make sure you consult your doctor before having any type of therapy if being treated for any type of cancer.
7. What if i have a broken bone, or have had one recently?
In the situation of a broken bone we work away from this area as not to cause any further problems. Once the bone is healed and you have consulted your doctor it may then be useful to have a massage to help further healing.
8. What if i am pregnant?
Massage is a great thing for pregnant women as it can ease stress and help relax the body from the strains of pregnancy. Instead of the normal face down laying position you may choose to lay on your back or sit on a chair if preferred, that way the masseuse will still have access to your back area. Again if you feel it is necessary to consult your doctor or midwife before having a massage please do so. Massage therapy can be done all the way up to the birth.
9. How old do i have to be for a massage?
Massage therapy can be used for people of all ages from 1 day old onwards, for every body type and every sex. If massage is required for a child a parent or guardian must be present at all times unless over the age of 18 years old.
10. Can massage help me lose weight?
Yes massage can help stimulate areas of discontent by warm kneading to the skin which after a few sessions can release a lot of fat.
11. Will massage help my cellulite?
Yes again, by warm kneading and sculpturing massage the appearnace of cellulite will be reduced after a few sessions.
12. What if i have any medical conditions or take any medication?
During the consulatation you will be asked about any medical conditions and from there we can assess if you are ok to receive a massage, if unsure we will refer you back to your doctor to confirm you are in well enough health to receive a massage.
13.How do i book for a massage?

14. How far in advance should i book?
Please try and book at least 1 week in advance however if you feel you are in need of a massage more urgently or at shorter notice please feel free to contact us and we will try our best to allocate you an appointment which suits you.
15. What happens if i need to cancel my appointment?
Please conact us as soon as possible if you are unable to make it to an appointment.
