Herbal Medicine

Valerie has always had a love of plants. When studying English at university, she came across some of the very first Anglo-Saxon herbal medicine tests and her interest was revived. Teaching in Sweden, she came across an exceptional man who she describes as a shamanic character, who lived in the Swedish forest and showed her the herbs he used for food and medicine. Many years later, Valerie came across a course to achieve formal training in herbal medicine.

She achieved a first class honours degree in Herbal Medicine from the University of East London and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists.  Having lived in many places, she has returned to Norwich because she loves the city’s friendly and lively atmosphere.
